Short Speech on Lala Lajpat Rai

The family’s eldest son was Lala Lajpat Rai. He was born on January 28th, 1865 in Ferozpur District’s Dhudike Village. His mother was a devout woman who instilled moral ideals in the kids, while his father was a scholar of primarily two languages, Persian and Urdu.

His mother’s name was Gulab Devi, and his father’s name was Munshi Radha Krishna Azad. He had his foundational education at Rewari before enrolling in Government College in Lahore to study law. He began his legal career at Hissar, Haryana, where he also met other freedom fighters throughout his college years, like Pandit guru Datt, Lala Hansraj, and several more.

To win back the children’s custody from Christians, Lala Lajpat Rai launched the Hindu Orphan Relief Movement and the Punjab National Bank. In 1892, he conducted his first high court session in Lahore, where he also started a school modeled after the Dayanand Anglo Vedic School. He established the Indian Home Rule League of America in 1917, where he spent three years.

Indian freedom warrior Lala Lajpat Rai passed away while participating in a protest against the Simon Commission. Many children were moved by his sacrifice, and they began to honor him and join the freedom cause. In a few years, India attained independence thanks to individuals like him.
